Program Manager
Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Content Program Manager to lead the planning, development, and delivery of educational content products. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in education publishing, curriculum development, instructional design, or EdTech content operations. This role involves managing cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality content delivery on time, within scope, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end content development projects from planning through publication and release
Manage course/content development lifecycle including manuscript build and production oversight
Collaborate with editors, instructional designers, curriculum specialists, SMEs, and production teams
Develop project plans, schedules, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies
Track timelines, budgets, deliverables, and ensure successful execution
Coordinate content review, QA, editing, and publishing workflows
Facilitate Agile ceremonies, PI planning sessions, stakeholder reviews, and status updates
Ensure alignment with curriculum standards, learning objectives, and educational frameworks
Manage communication with internal teams and external vendors
Drive process improvements for scalable and efficient content production
Manage multiple content programs simultaneously with strong attention to detail
Oversee digital asset integration and content refresh cycles
Course Development & Content Production End-to-end course development lifecycle ownership
Instructional design collaboration and SME coordination
Content workflow management, QA, and production standards
Establish scalable enterprise content development processes
Manage checkpoints, approvals, and publishing cycles
Support print and digital publishing workflows
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education, Publishing, Communications, English, Instructional Design, or related field
10+ years of experience in educational publishing, curriculum development, EdTech, or content program management
Strong experience in digital learning environments and content lifecycle management
Proven track record managing complex content development programs
Experience working with editorial teams, curriculum developers, and content creators
Strong project planning, stakeholder management, and communication skills
Experience with project management tools (Jira, Asana, Smartsheet, MS Project, Azure DevOps)
Experience in publishing, digital publishing, eLearning, EdTech, or content technology environments
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies including SAFe
Experience with Program Increment (PI) planning and execution
Experience with CMS/LMS platforms (SuccessFactors, SumTotal, Moodle, SharePoint, Articulate, InDesign)
Experience in Agile/Waterfall environments for content production and publishing
Preferred Qualifications Experience in K-12, Higher Education, Assessment, or Learning Products
PMP, CAPM, Agile, or SAFe certifications
