We invite you to join us in this transformation.Job DescriptionSenior Indirect Tax Accountant US & CanadaBose is looking for a motivated Sr. Indirect Tax Accountant to join our growing corporate tax team and assist with all indirect tax compliance, research, and business support. This position will report to the Global Indirect Senior Manager and will be primarily responsible for handling our US sales and use tax and Canadian GST/HST, PST, and QST compliance processes as well as assisting with other ad hoc projects for the company and its affiliates. This position will work out of our corporate office located in Atlanta, GA.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport compliance team with filing monthly US sales and use tax across all entitiesPrepare and file GST/HST, PST and QST filings for Canada, including running reports, reconciling data, preparing workpapers, and processing all the paymentsPrepare US and Canada monthly and quarterly general ledger tax account reconciliationsReview monthly use tax accrual data, use tax reversals and assist with refund claims Review transaction tax data to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies with taxability, rates, and system errorsResolve tax notices and process any payments necessary for state & local tax authoritiesPrepare and maintain current exemption certificates for customers and vendorsProvide audit assistance including data gathering, account analysis and reconciliationAssist with audit result review and transaction analysis using SAP, purchase order and vendor invoice documentation as neededTrack and renew all business licenses, registrations, and annual compliance filingsAssist in organizing and maintaining department mail, files, and documentationUpdate and maintain multiple business logs, trackers, and compliance calendarsRecognize, anticipate, and resolve tax issues and help make recommendations that will improve efficiency and tax complianceAssist in documenting and maintaining the Tax Procedure Manual as it relates to all tax department matters and global indirect tax functionsAssemble and mail any tax related filings and/or correspondence when necessary and provide administrative support and assistance with general tax issues as neededSupport ad hoc tax projects as assigned, such as research to evaluate tax implications of our products and services, compliance in sales tax, business licenses and general ledger accounting and nexus reviewsQualifications And Skill RequirementsMust have 1-3 years of experience preparing and filing US and Canada indirect taxesStrong Sales and Use tax and Canadian GST/HST, PST, and QST knowledge and skillsPrevious tax experience working in large corporate environmentStrong computer and technical skills including Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel experienceExcellent communication, written and interpersonal skills for daily interaction with management, colleagues and other department peersDemonstrates a high level of respect and integrity with work and all interactionsDetail oriented, possesses strong organizational skills, takes initiative and can manage multiple competing tasksSelf-driven, trustworthy and can work independentlyPossesses an aptitude for learning, motivated by self-growth, has an ability to problem-solve and is resourcefulReliable and proactive in accomplishing assigned tasks in a timely mannerEducation And ExperienceB.S Degree in Accounting, FinanceExperience with Vertex and SAPAt Bose, you're inspired to be and do your best and are rewarded for your unique talents! Our compensation is thoughtfully tailored to your skills, experience, education, and location, and goes beyond base salary. The hiring range for this position in the primary work location of Atlanta, Georgia is: $80,900-$111,275.The hiring range for other Bose work locations may vary.
