Data Governance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Governance Manager to lead enterprise data governance initiatives. This role is responsible for ensuring data quality, accuracy, and consistency across cloud-based platforms while driving governance strategy, managing core data assets, and supporting full data lifecycle management.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the development and execution of data governance strategies, policies, and procedures aligned to business objectivesManage a team of data analysts and data management professionals, including project oversight and prioritizationDefine and implement data governance frameworks to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness across systemsEstablish data ownership, stewardship, and accountability across the full data lifecyclePartner with cross-functional stakeholders to identify governance needs and deliver scalable solutionsOversee data classification, access, sharing, and reference data management practicesImplement data tagging, classification, and access controls to protect sensitive information and support regulatory complianceMaintain documentation of data assets, metadata, and lineage using enterprise data catalog toolsDesign and implement data quality processes including profiling and cleansing strategiesUtilize and support governance tools while maintaining hands-on involvement with SQL and Python where neededAdvocate for data governance best practices and promote a data-driven culture across the organizationEnsure adherence to corporate policies, procedures, and regulatory requirementsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Management, or related field (Master’s preferred)5+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or data engineering3+ years of leadership or management experienceExperience with data governance frameworks, metadata management, and data lineage toolsStrong understanding of data privacy regulations and compliance standardsProficiency in SQL, Python, and data modelingStrong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skillsDeep understanding of data quality, governance, and compliance principles
