To successfully perform the essential functions of this job, Sales Specialists live within the region they serve in order to manage local client relationships and maximize sales opportunities.WORK HOURS: Hours may vary based on the customer's needs. Evenings and weekends may be required.TRAVEL REQUIREMENT: Travel is primarily local to all star gyms and organizations within the territory although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.How You Will Make An ImpactA Varsity Spirit All Star Fashion Sales Specialist is passionate about fashion, enjoys working one-on-one with customers and thrives in a sales environment. Responsibilities include providing personalized solutions to groups with participants of all ages. Effectively promoting Varsity products through a consultative based selling approach, Sales Specialists manage complex sales cycles and follow the Varsity Spirit All Star Fashion Integrated Selling Process from start to finish. Successful Sales Specialists are industry experts and influencers who cultivate & seek new opportunity while maintaining meaningful customer relationships.A Varsity Spirit All Star Fashion Sales Specialist represents Varsity Brands by demonstrating company core values. Driving the highest ethical standards of conduct in all business activities, they strive to elevate the customer experience.SPIRIT – PASSION – INNOVATION – RESPECT – INTEGRITY - TRANSPARENCYWhat You Will DoGenerate sales of Varsity products to existing and target customers utilizing a variety of sales techniquesAssist customers in your territory with all things VarsityDevelop relationships and understand the needs of customers in your territoryBecome an industry expert for your territory Guide customers through the design and order process to completionMonitor competitors in your territory maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of their product offerings and selling pointsCoordinate with the Varsity All Star event division to support their sales efforts in your territory and to promote Varsity All StarImplement sales calls, customer visits, consultations, and other effective sales techniques to secure the businessConduct consultations, design sessions, and sizing appointmentsMeet predetermined performance measurements/sales goalsSubmit appropriate and complete paperwork, e.g. revisions, payment forms, expense reports, VID requests and rush requestsCommunicate production timelines and delivery dates to customerPerform administrative and customer service duties as deemed necessary, e.g. payment collection, order sorting, and return/remake facilitationDevelop and implement strategy for converting target accounts to new businessProvide regular updates to direct manager on progress with target accounts and sales forecastsUtilize a variety of sales techniques to increase territory salesComplete training as assigned to stay current on products, processes and technologyIdentify new trends in the industry and relay to your managerMonitor and utilize company produced reports, e.g. CSH, PBR, and Aged Receivables to identify opportunities, maintain “clean” accounts, and maximize salesMake your availability to customers known by returning all phone calls and emails in a timely fashion, typically within 24 business hours.Develop action plan with direct manager to resolve customer satisfaction issues and retain at risk customersParticipate in sales conference calls, webinars, meetings and yearly sales trainingsAttend Varsity Events a (Typically during the months of October – April)Generate and communicate sales leads to the event sales teamCoordinate team approach with event Advisor when deemed appropriateMeet all deadlinesQualificationsKnowledge/Skills/Abilities:Presentation SkillsHigh Technical Capacity (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce)Customer/Client Service FocusedCommunication and interpersonal skills (i.e., active listening)Personal Effectiveness/CredibilityAbility to generate leads, forecast sales cycle, anticipate problems, and create effective solutions, with an aspiration to meet and exceed sales goalsHigh Level Time ManagementAbility to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlinesDetail OrientedHighly adaptable in ever changing climates and technologiesWillingness to learn in-depth product construction, technicalities, and pricingEnsure reliable travel for regular face-to-face touch pointsOrganization and follow throughEducation/Experience:High school diploma or GED.Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business education or related field preferredIndustry Experience preferredExperience in administrative support role for at least 2 years.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, bending, lifting, kneeling walking and driving will all occur on a regular basis.
