Job SummaryToolmakers perform a variety of machine shop and tool room related tasks of product Responsibilities include developing creative solutions to mold and tool making design problems, ensuring the proper good mold making practices are followed, generation of 3D CAD CAM models, etc, all executed per the tooling priority plan| || |Essential FunctionsIllustrative duties may include, but are not restricted to, one or more of the following:Read and maintain a working knowledge of the Quality Manual and Quality ProceduresInteract with Tool Room Manager for direction of the daily plan of required dutiesCarry out machining duties as identified by Tool Room ManagerMeasure components that are machined to ensure components meet specificationsRecommend tooling (Cutters) requirements for utilized equipmentDisassemble, inspect, repair (as necessary) and reassemble moldsChange core and cavity inserts per production requirements as instructed by Tool Room ManagerHand bench and polish cores and cavities as necessary or as instructed by Tool Room ManagerTag molds| || |Qualifications And RequirementsEducation:High School diploma or equivalent, or Trade SchoolExperience: Minimum 3Years relevant plastic injection mold building and machining workComputer Skills:Basic knowledgeCertificates, Licenses, Registrations:Certification from accredited Tool Maker Apprenticeship ProgramStrong Mechanical aptitudeAbility to read and understand mold design drawingsStrong understanding of plastic injection molds and componentsFamiliarity with tooling standards and componentsAbility to adapt to demanding mold completion schedulesAbility to pass lift truck programBe able to work up to 50 hours per week as neededCommitment to ongoing training| || |Physical RequirementsAbility to climb a ladderMust be able to lift up to 80 lbs.| || |You Should Be Proficient InMechanical Troubleshooting SkillsTool/Die/Mold Setup Experience
