Electrical Controls Engineer
Responsibilities: Own controls for multiple automation projects from concept to customer acceptance. Define control architectures with mechanical and electrical engineers to develop reliable systems. Develop, test, and debug PLC, HMI, motion control, and safety programs using standardized practices. Lead controls debugging during panel build, machine assembly, FAT, installation, and startup. Collaborate with customers during design reviews and technical discussions. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure project success. Apply and improve controls standards, reusable code libraries, and best practices. Troubleshoot complex technical issues systematically. Utilize advanced automation technologies such as robotics, machine vision, and servo motion. Support customer startups and project implementation through travel.Qualifications & Skills5+ years of hands-on controls engineering experience with custom industrial machinery or automated systems.Proficiency in electrical control system design, including schematics, panel layouts, and I/O lists using AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar software.Strong PLC and HMI programming skills, primarily with Allen-Bradley platforms.Solid experience in complex motion control, servo systems, and multi-axis motion.Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.Experience with integrating industrial robots, vision systems, and safety systems is a plus.
