Job DescriptionQUANTITY TAKEOFF SPECIALISTLocation: Between LA and Santa Barbara, CAAn established general contracting firm is seeking a detail-oriented Quantity Takeoff Specialist to support project estimating and preconstruction efforts. This position supports a variety of project types under the firm's portfolio.Responsibilities:• Review plans, specifications, addenda, and project documentation for upcoming bids• Develop accurate quantity takeoffs for materials, labor, and equipment based on plans and specs• Prepare quantity summaries for material, labor, and equipment for bids• Assist with bid preparation: pricing, vendor/subcontractor outreach, bid-package assembly• Maintain organized documentation and version control throughout bid process• Support estimators and project management to ensure bid quantities align with project scope• Support project teams with clarifications, revisions, and value-engineering when neededRequirements:• Experience performing quantity takeoffs for civil, structural, or general contracting scopes• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, or civil drawings and specifications• Proficiency with takeoff / estimating software (e.g. Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, or similar)• Strong attention to detail, analytical and organizational skills• Capability to manage multiple bids under deadline pressure• Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholdersCompensation & Benefits:• Competitive salary, commensurate with experience• Benefits package• Opportunity to grow and work on diverse projects under a general contracting firmHow to Apply:Submit a resume highlighting takeoff / estimating experience, relevant software proficiency, and any relevant project exposure.You can confidentially contact Mark Jeffree at mark.jeffree@gogpac.com with any further questions.
