We will provide you with the necessary technical skills to launch a rewarding career. While prior experience is not necessarily required, you must have some experience & training with power tools and hand tools. You will work under the supervision of a journeyman carpenter, assisting them with their duties while you train and gain a better understanding of the trade. An apprenticeship with our organization entails 3-5 years of on-the-job training. Experience in construction is beneficial, especially in areas like framing, roofing, siding or window & door installation. You need excellent comminucation skills to coordinate with other workers, such as other skilled traades or construction managers. Apprentice Carpenter Duties and Responsibilitites -Assist journeyman carpenter with construction and remodeling projects -Help build wooden structures -Learn and practice essential carpentry skills on the job -Maintain a safe work environment -Set up and maintain tools for your supervising carpenter -Ability to work from ladders, scaffolding, and motorized lifts Apprentice Carpenter Requirements and Qualifications -High school diploma or GED certificate -Strong math skills -Familiarity with common power and hand tools -Experience in construction -Physical strength and stamina -Ability to work in different climates and weather conditions Job Type: Full-time Pay: $21.00 - $27.00 per hour Benefits: * 401(k) * Dental insurance * Health insurance * Health savings account * Life insurance * Paid time off * Profit sharing * Referral program * Retirement plan * Vision insurance Experience: * Carpentry: 1 year (Required) Ability to Commute: * Red Bud, IL 62278 (Required) Work Location: In person
