Construction Superintendent

Arcadis is looking to add Construction Superintendents to join our US Life Sciences Construction Management Team. The Superintendent is responsible for all on-site construction activities, with the project manager's assistance, on projects ranging from $100k-$20M. These tasks will include contractor management, labor management, safety oversite, client management, procurement assistance, and estimating assistance.This role will be in located in Columbia, MO.Key ResponsibilitiesManages/coordinates multiple trade subcontractors and job site logisticsOn-site point of contact for clients on projectsRead/interpret engineered drawings and understand construction means/methodsMonitors and ensures on-site safety compliance and replays needs to EHS departmentMaintains site records: daily filed reports, RFI's, observationsWrites a comprehensive scope of workProvides daily updates to Manager of ConstructionConducts constructability reviewsSupport project schedulingProvide three-week look-ahead to clientRecords meeting minutes for internal and external teams Skills & Qualifications10+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Strong MEP background preferredLife Sciences experience a plusOSHA 30Excellent verbal, written and communications skillsRead and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Write routine reports and correspondencePriorities and plans for work activities. Use time efficientlyPlans for additional resources. Integrates changes smoothly. Set goals and objectives.
