As a Cashier at Jay’s Mart, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, accurately handling cash register operations, processing sales transactions, and issuing receipts or refunds. Additional duties include assisting customers with inquiries, ensuring cleanliness and organization at the checkout area, and restocking items at the register as needed. You will also work collaboratively with other team members to ensure a positive shopping experience for customers. Qualifications Strong cash handling, sales transaction processing, and basic math skillsCustomer service, communication, and interpersonal skills to create positive experiencesOrganizational and multitasking skills for managing a busy checkout areaAttention to detail to ensure accurate transactions and maintain store cleanlinessAbility to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysPrior experience in retail or as a cashier is a plus but not requiredA high school diploma or equivalent is preferred
