Fleet Dispatcher

Fleet Dispatcher Job Description: Medallion Transport Holdings is seeking a fleet dispatcher. Candidate will manage and coordinate a fleet of up to 25 owner-operators. Dispatcher will work with company salespeople, brokers and other dispatch team members seeking, booking, coordinating, and dispatching, OTR freight. Candidate will be the primary point of contact for assigned owner-operators. Qualified candidate must possess strong communication, problem solving abilities and time-management skills, must be willing to work with-in a team environment, effectively coordinating with groups of people (shippers, receivers, internal network, etc.). Responsibilities: Schedule and dispatch trucks based on owner-operator needs and customer requests. Coordinate and manage the most efficient loads to satisfy the truck’s profitability goals. Negotiate rates Identify and evaluate special needs for each load. Communicate daily updates, changes in schedule, or problems to the appropriate parties throughout the life cycle of the load Duties are subject to change at any time per management discretion Requirements: High school graduate, GED holder, or associate degree with two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of the trucking industry/Owner operator experience is a plus Ability to multi-task and work with-in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment Must be able to communicate using various modes of communication (text, email and predominately phone) Strong organizational skills Knowledge of basic safety and regulatory compliance Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $25.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Schedule: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday Education: High school or equivalent (Preferred) Experience: Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred) Dispatching: 3 years (Required) Ability to Relocate: Tipton, IN 46072: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
