Compliance & Legal Affairs Manager

Tree Corporation USA is seeking a highly organized, business-oriented, and proactive Compliance & Legal Affairs Manager to join our growing corporate structure in Miami.This position will play a key leadership role within our Service Center, supporting multiple business divisions involved in international logistics, shipping, project cargo, maritime operations, trading, and transportation services across the Americas and other international markets.We are looking for a professional who understands that compliance is not only about control — it is about supporting growth, protecting the company, improving structure, and helping operations move efficiently within a highly regulated environment.This role will supervise and strengthen our current compliance department while coordinating closely with management, finance, operations, HR, and external legal counsel.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and supervise the Compliance DepartmentDevelop and improve internal compliance procedures and controlsCoordinate with external law firms and advisorsReview commercial agreements, vendor contracts, NDAs, and corporate documentsSupport compliance related to international trade, logistics, maritime operations, and regulated marketsAssist with corporate governance and internal policy implementationBuild proactive compliance monitoring systems instead of reactive processesCoordinate internal investigations, escalations, and risk assessments when neededSupport onboarding compliance for customers, vendors, and partnersAssist management with regulatory, contractual, and operational risk analysisHelp strengthen corporate structure, reporting visibility, and accountabilityPromote a practical and business-friendly compliance culture across all companiesRequirementsJuris Doctor (JD) degree requiredLicensed attorney in Florida preferred5+ years of experience in compliance, corporate law, transportation, logistics, maritime, international trade, or related fieldsStrong understanding of contracts and corporate documentationAbility to work in a fast-paced operational environmentStrong communication and leadership skillsHighly organized with strong follow-up capabilitiesEnglish requiredSpanish strongly preferredPreferred ExperienceExperience in one or more of the following areas is highly valued:Shipping or maritime industryFreight forwarding / logisticsFMC, OFAC, BIS, import/export complianceCorporate compliance programsMulti-entity corporate structuresInternational commercial operationsWhat We Are Looking ForWe are not looking for a purely academic legal profile.We are looking for someone practical, proactive, solution-oriented, and capable of becoming part of a growing corporate leadership structure.The ideal candidate understands how to balance compliance, operational reality, risk management, and business growth. CompensationCompetitive salary package based on experience. LocationThis position is based in Miami, Florida, and in-person presence is expected.
