General Accountabilities
Operate heavy equipment such as backhoes, excavators, skid steers, paving machines and rollers to perform excavation, grading, lifting, material handling, paving and compaction.
Drive and manage commercial dump trucks and trailers to transport materials and equipment to and from construction sites.
Load and unload construction materials and equipment as well as other supplies efficiently and safely.
Assist with site preparation by leveling ground, digging trenches, moving earth, along with paving operations using heavy equipment.
Conduct routine inspections of machinery and trucks to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance, as well as greasing machines and some maitenance.
Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries on-site.
Collaborate with team members to coordinate material deliveries and site activities for seamless project execution.
Job Qualifications
3 yrs experience operating heavy construction equipment such as loaders, backhoes, excavators, paving machines, or similar machinery as well as driving dump trucks.
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL A) with a clean driving record; experience driving dump trucks, is highly preferred.
Strong mechanical knowledge of construction equipment and truck maintenance basics.
Construction site experience demonstrating familiarity with safety standards and operational procedures.
Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy loads and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Knowledge and ability to read blueprints and drawings
OSHA 10 certification required
