Speech Language Pathologist Location: Mound City, MO Agency: Acruex Health Pay: $2,160 to $2,320 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Pay Rate: $54.00 - $58.00/Hourly. Summary: A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) assesses, diagnoses, and treats individuals with speech, language, voice, fluency, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. SLPs work with patients across the lifespan—from infants to older adults—in clinical, educational, and healthcare settings to improve communication and overall quality of life. Responsibilities: Effectively screens/evaluates/rehabilitate patients with communication, cognitive or swallowing disorders and develops appropriate plan of care following all regulatory and clinical practice standards. Utilizes standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions. Assesses patient’s progress and adjust treatments accordingly in the clinical record per regulatory and clinical practice requirements. Evaluates treatment outcomes for effectiveness. Services are modified in relation to patient evaluation and referrals are made in relation to outcomes. Provides consultation and counseling to patients, as well as families, caregivers and other service providers related to the speech disorders. Effectively communicates with supervisor and other health team members regarding patient progress, barriers, and treatment plans. Requirements Requirements: 1 year of SLP experience Required. New Grads OKAY- as long as a Level II experience and not just a Level I observation experience, Long Term Care (LTC) or Rehab experience Required. MO State License Required. (Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology) CCC certified SLP Required. 3 years experience holding active CCS Preferred. BLS Certification.
