CNC Programmer
CNC Programmer (First Shift)The CNC Programmer at ABI is expected to have a comprehensive understanding of all CNC machining and programming operations. This role works in close contact with Machinists, Manufacturing Engineers, Design Engineers and other Engineering teams to increase productivity and optimize machining programs and procedures.ResponsibilitiesAbility to manage and use Esprit and FeatureCam software to efficiently generate programs for 3 and 4 axis CNC mills, lathes, and wire EDM.Generate and maintain programs and setup sheets in a low volume/high mix environment.Select tools for machining complex parts in steel, copper, and high nickel alloy materialsDefine and adjust speed and feed parameters for maximum tool life in challenging and high stakes applicationsMake suggestions on drawing changes to improve manufacturability and CNC program strategyDesign and machine fixtures as neededMeet expectations for productivity and production goalsProvide feedback and ideas for process improvementsQualifications RequiredHigh school diploma or GED2 years of CNC programming experience using FeatureCam software or equivalentAbility to read and interpret G-codeUnderstanding of best machining practicesProficient in the use of measuring devices: micrometers, calipers, and gaugesMaintain neat and orderly work area to ensure efficiency and no safety hazardsExcellent time management skills, the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projectsIt is expected that the machinist is skilled enough to generally work independently on each assigned project through all aspects of the projectDesiredFamiliar with First Article and In-process InspectionDiploma or Certification from technical school preferredSolidWorks, FeatureCam, EspritFamiliar with Haas mill and lathe.Familiar with Mitsubishi wire EDMHours First Shift M-F (5:30 AM - 2:00 PM ET) Second Shift M-F (2:00 PM - 10:30 PM ET)American BOA offers outstanding benefits for our employees, including generous health, dental and vision plans with low plan deductibles, educational reimbursement, short term disability, and flexible PTO options.To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.American BOA, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer; employment with ABI is governed based on merit, competence and qualifications and will not be influenced in any manner by race, color, religion, gender, national origin/ethnicity, veteran status, disability status, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, mental or physical disability or any other legally protected status.
