Production Manager

Our solutions enable critical mission system capabilities and increase naval stealth on submarine and surface ship platforms.Key Responsibilities:Provides leadership and direction to the assigned manufacturing team(s) as a direct manager for the Production employeesMonitors and leads production team activities that ensure achievement of safety, quality, delivery and cost targetsHelp to achieve annual Balanced Scorecard (KPI) objectivesWorking knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.Implement and sustain visual management across assigned production linesWork with Supply Chain and planning department to develop production build schedulesPlans and monitors production operations for schedule attainment and efficiency for the assigned departmentsLeads and/or assists with hourly personnel management and problem resolution, consulting with Human Resources as needed Performs metric tracking, problem solving and continuous improvement activitiesMeet, or exceed, all customer requirements including on-time delivery of productsContribute to optimizing the flow and productivity of the assigned departmentMaintain AS9100/J-STD-001/IPC-610/IPC-620/ESD compliance and all other standards/certifications established and required by our customersSupport Customer Service, Engineering and other departments as requiredDemonstrate moral standards, ethical compliance, and integrity, as expected by the Company, its customers, suppliers, team members and stakeholdersAdhere to ESCO's business policies, Environments Health & Safety policies and US export law and controls.Performs all other duties as required, requested or neededManagerial Responsibilities:Manage direct reports' work assignments and ensure proper workflowEnsure direct reports are following all company policies and proceduresBe responsible for management changes in HRIS for direct reportsResponsible for the management, leading and coaching of team members defined as direct reportsConduct annual appraisals with team members, setting objectives to ensure performance standards are metConduct regular one to one meeting with team members to discuss workload, progress, training and development needs and address performance issues, involving Human Resources when appropriateIdentify resource requirements and conduct interviews and assessments to ensure effective recruitment and hiring processesIdentify training and development needs for staff and action training requests as required to expand their skills, aligning their needs with the business strategy and regulatory requirementsEncourage the sharing and retention of knowledge and experience within the business through effective mentoring of team members and colleaguesFormulate effective succession plans and review regularly to ensure the skills and knowledge required to fulfil key roles are met through continuous training, development and mentoringRequired Skills:Proficient knowledge of LEAN manufacturing principles10+ years of increasing responsibility and experience in a low volume / high mix production environment to include managing staffBachelor's degree requiredAbility to obtain a US Government security clearance. Security clearances are granted to U.S. citizens onlyDesired Skills:LEAN, Six Sigma Blackbelt certified8+ years of managing electronic assembly & test including oversight of operator certification and training programsExcellent oral and written communication skillsTeam player to work cross functionally as requiredSafety conscious and able to apply methodologies to improve processesPhysical Requirements:Able to work with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the production floorAbility to stoop, bend, left up to 30lbs Periodically may require longer working hoursCompensation InformationBase Salary Range: $130,000 - $150,000 USD (Annually)Please note, this is the expected compensation however, ESCO Maritime Solutions considers many factors in determining compensation prior to office, such as: responsibilities and scope of role, candidate's work experience and education related to position, applicable certifications or trainings, business and market conditions.Eligibility for benefits begins on the first day of employment to include401k, PTO, Medical, Dental, Vision, Stock Purchase Program, Life insurance and Disability!Equal Opportunity EmployerThis employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
