Stage Production Fabricator

JCD Studios is an event production company specializing scenic prop fabrication and installation. We are a small business that likes to focus on unique one of kind projects. We are primarily looking for someone to assist in designing and fabricating stage props and decor. Working both at the warehouse and occasionally various job sites around California. Someone that is comfortable with some heavy lifting (around 50lbs.) and occasionally traveling with overnight stays. The role is primarily within the warehouse however additional work is available if the applicant has the ability to operate equipment such as forklifts, boom lifts, and scissor lifts. The applicant is required to be able think creatively, be an effective communicator and have experience in carpentry among other skills. If you do not meet the requirements we may still be interested in hiring. Past experience in event production, theatre, as a stage hand or in construction is helpful but not required. Position Role: Applicant is expected to fabricate stage props using skills in carpentry, welding, painting and some electrical. Not all skills are required, nor do they need to be at an expert level, however the more well rounded the applicant is the better. The more skilled the applicant, the more pay will be offered. Part time and full time hours are available. Occasionally last minute projects may need to be produced leading to overtime hours. Full time benefits after a probationary period include matching 401(k) plan and paid time off.
