Reporting to the Manager of Financial Reporting, this position assists with preparing supporting schedules, reconciliations, and disclosures that ensure timely, accurate, and compliant reporting. This role provides a strong foundation for developing technical accounting and reporting expertise, and requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.Principal Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssist in the preparation of SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K, by preparing supporting schedules and tie-outs.Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc internal reporting deliverablesPrepare supporting schedules, analyses, and tie-outs for external and internal reporting.Support the monthly and quarterly close process through preparation of workpapers and analytical reviews.Prepare and record cost allocations between departments and sales channels.Assist in the preparation of financial statement disclosures, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.Help maintain reporting checklists, calendars, and documentation to ensure timely deliverables.Provide requested documentation and analyses for external auditors and internal controls testing.Collaborate with GL, revenue, FP&A, tax, and other teams to support reporting deliverables.Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the financial reporting function.Experience and EducationBachelor's degree in accounting or related fieldCPA or CPA candidate preferred1 3 years of experience in public accounting and/or a public company environment; exposure to SEC reporting a plusRequired Skills and AbilitiesSolid understanding of U.S. GAAP; willingness to expand into SEC reporting requirementsIntermediate to advanced Excel skillsHighly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across teamsDemonstrated initiative and eagerness to learn new systems and processesBenefits SummaryHigh quality voluntary health, vision, disability, life, and dental insurance programs401K Matching PlanEmployee Stock Purchase PlanPaid holidays, vacation, and sick leaveCorporate sponsored programs to enhance employee physical, financial, mental and emotional wellnessFinancial Solution ProgramEqual Employment Opportunity:Goosehead is an equal opportunity employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, guidelines, and regulations.
