Property Accountant - Highly Successful Organization

Job Description A highly respected Property Management organization is seeking a Property Accountant to join its growing team. This position offers an excellent career path as well as a good work/life balance.Property Accountant Responsibilities:Prepare and review financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets,and cash flow statements for assigned propertiesMonth-end close balance sheet reconciliations including Bank, AR, Construction in Progress & Fixed AssetsJournal entries including accruals & prepaymentsReconciliation of revenue accountsPreparation of supporting work papersVariance analysis including flux analysis and budget-to-actual reviewCollaboration with property managersReview all AR transactions and AP invoicesReview lease agreements and ensure accurate and timely recording of rental incomeReview and reconcile all loan paymentsPrepare and submit required financial reports to senior management and external stakeholdersAssist with year-end audit preparations and provide necessary documentation and support to auditorsSpecial projectsProperty Accountant Requirements:Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field4-6 years of progressive General Ledger experienceExperience compiling accrual based financial statementsSolid knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)Real estate industry experience a plus but not essentialSystems savvy with strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP)Yardi or MRI experience a plus but not essentialExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detailAbility to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlinesEffective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teamsIf this position is of interest please apply, alternatively if you would like to discuss your job search and other Accounting & Finance opportunities please email your resume to Paul Gould, Managing Partner: paul.gould@nextlevelresources.netNext Level Resources, Inc. is a professional staffing firm dedicated to finding exceptional Accounting and Finance talent on a permanent and consultant/interim basis for clients throughout San Diego County.
