Job Description Electrical Foreman - Commercial & Industrial Projects (Iowa)Location: Iowa (Statewide Travel Required At Times)Job Type: Full-TimePosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical Foreman to lead crews on commercial and industrial projects throughout Iowa. This role is responsible for supervising field operations, ensuring quality workmanship, maintaining safety standards, and delivering projects on schedule and within budget.The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, in-depth electrical knowledge, and experience managing multiple job sites and crews.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and coordinate daily activities of electrical crewsPlan, organize, and assign work to meet project schedulesRead and interpret blueprints, specifications, and electrical schematicsEnsure work is completed according to NEC, OSHA, and company standardsEnforce job site safety policies and proceduresMonitor productivity, labor costs, and material usageCoordinate with project managers, general contractors, and inspectorsTrain, mentor, and evaluate apprentices and journeymenMaintain accurate job documentation and daily reportsOrder materials and manage inventory as neededTroubleshoot field issues and resolve technical challengesTravel to project sites throughout Iowa as requiredQualifications & RequirementsJourneyman Electrician license (Iowa or reciprocal state) preferred5+ years of commercial/industrial electrical experience2+ years in a leadership or foreman role preferredStrong knowledge of NEC and local electrical codesAbility to read and interpret construction documentsValid driver's license and reliable transportationWillingness to travel statewide for projectsOSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferredStrong communication and team leadership skillsAbility to work in varying weather and job site conditionsProficient with smartphones, tablets, and basic reporting softwareCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive pay based on experienceOvertime opportunitiesPer diem and travel compensation (where applicable)Health, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time off and holidaysCareer advancement opportunitiesOngoing training and certification supportWork EnvironmentCommercial and industrial construction sitesIndoor and outdoor work environmentsPhysical demands include standing, climbing, lifting, and working at heightsExtended hours may be required during peak project periodsWhy Join Our Team?We are a well-established electrical contractor with a strong reputation for quality workmanship, safety, and employee development.
