These services include planning, implementing, delivering and assessing the effectiveness of the treatment rendered. The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant must be able to provide services across the lifespan and work in both outpatient and inpatient settings as appropriate to the employee's skill set and department requirements.Follows the plan of care as documented by the Occupational Therapist b. Notifies the primary therapist when modifications to the plan of care are needed based on progression/regression of the patient or change in medical status d. Focuses on achieving the greatest well-being and the highest potential for the patient/client g. Collaborates with nursing and allied health staff to assure optimal patient care h. Documentation/Data Management a. Documentation is timely, legible and accurate and completed by end of work shift daily, manual and electronic b. Documentation reflects performance of procedures and treatments in the plan of care and provider prescription c. Compliance with legal, departmental, organizational, accrediting agency policies including protocols and multidisciplinary tools e. Billing is turned in on the same day as treatment rendered f. Accurate and timely data collection per department requirements.Maintains ongoing and effective collaboration between front office/front desk and other therapy staff b. Facilitates internal and external communication by participating in collaborative relationships with other health practitioners and the public at large c. Takes responsibility for content presented at all staff meetings and applies information to daily activities as directed b. May attend continuing education courses that benefit organizational objectives as directed e. Student and Volunteer Oversight a. Appropriately utilizes, communicates with, and monitors the activities of Occupational Therapist Assistant students and volunteers as directed by the leadership team and within the licensure regulations in the State of Delaware b. Completes, in a timely fashion, all necessary paperwork related to student assessment as required by affiliating school.Performance Improvement a. Accurately identifies, understands, and participates in Performance Improvement activities within the department, as directed by Supervisor/Manager b. Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of current organizational performance Improvement initiatives c. Communicates with the Supervisor/Manager to utilize current Performance Improvement data to improve clinical outcomes and efforts to achieve "best practice" standards of care.Occupational Therapy Assistant ;
