The Foreman also maintains order in the shop and is responsible for its cleanliness, organization and function.Job Duties: Management Team Duties:Updates advisors on progress of trucksEnsures quality control inspections are conducted and passedMakes questionable warranty decisionsDetermines warranty coverageMaintains repair comebacks to a minimumBecomes involved in complex and difficult repairsEnlists help from district service managers on complex and difficult repairsPersonnel Supervisory Duties:Coordinates technicians work volume every dayAssigns technicians work every dayDispatches work every dayCoaches and motivates technicians to reach productivity and efficiency goalsHelps team leaders develop leadership skillsSafety and Security Compliance Duties:Ensures safety compliance, conducts safety meetings and trainingsEnsures shop complies with all local, state and federal safety regulationsPerforms shop walk around to ensure shop and facility are safe and secureShop Maintenance Duties:Ensures cleanliness of the shopEnsures organization of the shopRequired Skills and Qualifications: Prior Shop Foreman experience within trucking industry preferredPrior management or supervisory experience requiredStrong leadership abilitiesProven technical expertiseExcellent customer service skillsExcellent communication skillsExcellent problem-solving skillsStrong organizational skillsExcellent time management skillsAble to work in fast pace environmentWork well with internal and external customersPhysical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
