Python Developer

Title: Python DeveloperLocation: Jackson, MS (3 days a week onsite)ComTec is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Python Developer to join our IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions for the critical IT network infrastructure, including switches, firewalls, and VPNs. You will play a key part in streamlining configuration, managing changes, and improving the overall efficiency and reliability of our network operations.Responsibilities:• Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools using Python to configure network devices, manage changes, and perform routine tasks.• Design and implement end-to-end automation scripts/workflows.• Collaborate with network engineers and other IT teams to identify automation opportunities and gather requirements.• Ensure that automation solutions adhere to security best practices and compliance standards.• Troubleshoot automation issues and continually optimize scripts for performance and reliability.Required Skills:• 3+ years of experience with Python programming.• ServiceNow experience will be a plus.• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
