OverviewUnder general supervision the Electrical Technician II is responsible for electrical troubleshooting, installation, repair and diagnostics.ResponsibilitiesInpects, tests, and maintains substation electrical equipment, such as circuit breakers and transformers: Inspects and tests equipment to detect malfunctioningTroubleshoot and reset breakers and control circuitsInstall, and repair lighting systemsInstalls, diagnoses and repairs transformers, motors and starters, switchgear, programmable logic controllers, relays and meter equipmentInstalls, alters or replaces conduit, wiring, switches and outlets for lighting and power supply for interior electrical systemsInspects and maintains primary service installations and power distribution systemsMaintains and calibrates electrical meters and emergency power systemsFollows basic electrical safety practices such as lockout/tagout procedureCompletes work orders and paperwork related to job tasksPerforms duties in accordance with departmental and regulatory safety procedures and standardsQualificationsHS Diploma or equivalent. Electrician certification is requiredAt least 10 years of experience in a Electrician position with progressives responsibilitiesMaximo knowledge is preferredSAP CMMS knowledge is preferredKnowledge of electrical wiring is requiredProficient computer skills are required. Strong Microsoft Office skills highly preferredAbiltiy to use tools such as conduit benders, screwdrivers, pliers, knives, hacksaws, and wire strippersMust possess strong written and verbal communication skillsMust have a strong mechanical and/or electrical systems aptitudeMust be able to install low voltage/alarm electrical systems to manufacturer specificationsAbility to properly use hand and power toolsAbility to perform electrical troubleshooting and equipment diagnosticsAbility to prepare and assemble conduits and connect electrical wiringAbility to inspect, troubleshoot and replace old wiring and insulated cables, clean circuitsPhysical DemandsMust be able to climb and maintain balance on ladders and scaffoldingMust be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or work at heights as requiredMust be able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally moreWhat We Offer:Competitive pay & benefits!Comprehensive training and development programs that prepare employees to advance from within.A company focused on creating a positive work and client environment.Employee discounts on entertainment, products, and services nationwide!Come Join Our Team!
