Precision Machining Maintenance Technologist
Based in: Wyoming, ILWhy this role mattersProduction depends on reliable lathes, mills, and CNC systems—your expertise keeps them online.Smart diagnostics and timely fixes minimize downtime and protect schedules.Disciplined preventive maintenance sustains peak performance and quality output.What you'll doPerform scheduled service and corrective repairs on machine tools (lathes, mills, CNC).Identify root causes of mechanical issues and implement effective repairs.Complete inspections and PM tasks to uphold efficiency and reliability.Document work performed and maintain accurate maintenance records.Coordinate with production to plan service windows that limit interruptions.Support installation and setup of new machinery and equipment.Maintain safety compliance and a clean, organized workspace.Your toolkitHigh school diploma or equivalent; technical credentials are advantageous.Experience in machine maintenance within manufacturing or a machine shop.Mechanical aptitude with strong troubleshooting capability.Familiarity with CNC equipment and modern manufacturing systems.Skill in interpreting manuals, diagrams, and schematics.Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.Ability to work flexible hours and handle emergency maintenance as needed.Location & scheduleThis position is on-site in Wyoming, IL. You’ll primarily work standard hours with flexibility for urgent repairs and planned maintenance windows.
