This role is responsible for managing customer accounts, developing new opportunities, and driving revenue growth within the federal government space. The ideal candidate has experience selling through government-wide acquisition contracts (GWACs) and a strong understanding of federal procurement processes.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and grow assigned customer accounts to ensure retention and continuous sales growthIdentify, develop, and close new sales opportunities within the Federal IT marketMaintain an accurate and up-to-date sales pipeline for reporting to managementMeet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets and certification goalsWork directly with manufacturers and distributors to develop customer solutions and competitive pricingDevelop a strong understanding of customer needs and align solutions accordinglyStay informed on Federal IT market trends, contract vehicles, and competitive landscapeCollaborate with internal teams to support proposal development and customer engagementQUALIFICATIONSPrior inside sales experience supporting Federal IT contractsDemonstrated knowledge of Federal Government procurement processes, terminology, and requirementsBasic understanding of IT concepts including computers, networking, and cybersecurityExperience working with OEMs and distributors on pricing and solution developmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent customer service and relationship management abilitiesAbility to work independently, take initiative, and solve problems proactivelyComfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google WorkspaceAbility to perform basic arithmetic calculations (percentages, margins, etc.)Positive, team-oriented mindsetHigh School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferredRelevant Federal IT sales and/or technical certifications preferred (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, VMware, Citrix)CLEARANCE LEVELAbility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security ClearanceCERTIFICATIONSRelevant Federal IT sales and/or technical certifications preferredEqual Opportunity EmployerVAE, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
