Senior Manager, Engineering Plastics Processing

If you are passionate about making a global impact and thrive in a diverse, inclusive environment, this opportunity is for you.Essential DutiesLead the Extrusion Vertical Integration Program, ensuring quality, cost efficiency, and production rates align with demand.Act as a Subject Matter Expert in plastic processing, collaborating with cross-functional teams.Develop and implement strategies to enhance tubing extrusion and plastics processing.Support the qualification of external suppliers for tubing extrusion, film production, and plastic compounding.Oversee engineering standards for tubing extrusion, film production, and plastic compounding.Provide technical leadership to extrusion process engineers.Manage and lead the functional group's development, direction, and effectiveness, supporting overall business and corporate objectives.Participate in the planning process to establish technical objectives for projects or engineering groups.Utilize technical and managerial expertise to evaluate solutions and modifications to projects and products globally.Identify project and product opportunities and initiate prioritization and implementation.Complete annual department budgeting and accountable for long-range planning.Implement and understand regulatory requirements as necessary.Ensure compliance with company Quality System regulations and safe working practices.Demonstrate broad management experience and leadership skills across multiple functions.Minimum Qualification RequirementsEducationBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is also acceptable.ExperienceMinimum of 10 years of progressive experience, including at least 5 years in a supervisory role.Extensive experience with program and project management methodologies.Deep expertise in medical device plastic processing, tubing extrusion, and plastic compounding/pelletizing.Comprehensive knowledge of regulations, policies, and global pharmacopoeia, including relevant guidelines and standards.SkillsAbility to lead a multidisciplinary engineering and scientific team working on multiple projects.Skilled in balancing commercial and development needs to accomplish global business goals.Advanced understanding and application of Design Controls and Quality Management System to product development.Broad management experience and recognized expertise within and outside the company.Ability to work collaboratively with product development leaders to establish long-term goals.Broad theoretical knowledge of management, quality, global regulatory standards, or manufacturing.Effective leadership, managerial, strategic planning, and global skills.Exceptional expertise in planning, budgeting, associate development, and project management.Understanding of technology and methods applicable to the area and the ability to determine appropriate application.Proficiency in relevant PC software applications and effective communication skills.Or an equivalent competency level acquired through a variation of these qualifications may be considered.LocationLakewood, Colorado - Open to candidates willing to relocate to the area.
