Full Stack Java Developer

*Role Summary *We are looking for a highly skilled *Senior Full Stack Java Engineer* to drive the modernization of our core accounting and ledger workflows. In this role, you will design, build, and scale critical full-stack applications that seamlessly bridge mainframe-originated data with event-driven cloud systems. You will play a pivotal role in shifting our architecture toward real-time event streaming and scalable NoSQL persistence, ensuring that our financial platforms remain flawlessly accurate and performant. *Key Roles & Responsibilities* * *Full Stack Engineering:* Own the end-to-end design, development, and maintenance of robust full-stack Java applications that power critical accounting workflows. * *Event-Driven Architecture:* Design and implement highly scalable, fault-tolerant event-driven components using Apache Kafka to enable real-time financial data streaming. * *Data Persistence & Modeling:* Architect data models and manage persistence strategies within Cosmos DB to ensure optimal read/write performance and absolute consistency. * *Cloud Data Pipelines:* Develop and optimize Azure Data Services pipelines to reliably ingest, transform, and move complex data originating from legacy mainframe systems. * *Domain Alignment:* Collaborate closely with financial analysts and product teams to translate complex accounting logic and custody workflows into clean, executable code. * *Code Excellence:* Drive rigorous code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD best practices to ensure zero-downtime deployments for financial software. *Required Skills & Qualifications* * *Experience:* *5 to 8 years* of verifiable, hands-on experience in enterprise Full Stack Java development. * *Streaming Ecosystems:* Strong working knowledge of Apache Kafka for high-volume messaging and stream processing. * *NoSQL Databases:* Deep, hands-on experience with Azure Cosmos DB (or highly similar NoSQL databases like MongoDB or Cassandra), including advanced data modeling. * *Cloud & Mainframe Integration:* Proven experience developing Azure Data Services pipelines, with a specific focus on integrating and transforming legacy mainframe data. * *Domain Knowledge:* A solid, basic-level understanding of accounting principles and domain exposure (direct experience with *custody accounting* is highly advantageous). *Nice-to-Have Skills* * Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and managing containerised microservices in Azure. * Exposure to modern front-end frameworks (e.g., Angular, React) used to build intuitive operational dashboards.
