Geotech Inc. brings a commitment to providing outstanding designs, superior communication, and attention to our clients’ needs on each project.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for a Land Surveying Field Crew Chief, based in Crest Hill, IL. The Field Crew Chief will oversee daily land surveying activities, including conducting topographic, ALTA, boundary surveys and construction staking. Responsibilities include managing field equipment such as total stations, GPS, drones, and supervising field crews, ensuring accurate data collection, and collaborating with project managers to meet deadlines. The role also involves preparing field sketches, notes, and ensuring compliance with company and industry standards.QualificationsA high school diploma or equivalentThree (3) years of land surveying experience, with at least one-year crew chief statusExperience in Topographic Surveys, Boundary Surveys, and ALTA SurveysProficiency in Land Surveying methods and practices, with knowledge of state surveying regulationsSkilled in operating and managing Trimble equipment, such as Total Stations, GPS and TSC7 collectorsStrong organizational, leadership, and communication abilitiesAbility to work outdoors, year-round, in varying weather conditionsValid driver's license and a reliable means of transportationPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing duties on this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands; sit; climb or balance; stoop; kneel; crouch; or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
