Back to All JobsNetwork EngineerSan Diego, CA (Hybrid)full time Secret $100,000 - $140,000 Job DescriptionTITLE: PMW 160 Future Capabilities Network EngineerLOCATION: Hybrid-site billet located in San Diego, CA.EDUCATION: Bachelors of Science degree from an accredited university in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physical Science required.CLEARANCE: Secret minimum, TS/SCI desiredDESCRIPTION: Mid-level network engineer to support the design of Navy networks. Specifics tasks include: Development of network topologies and templates from system requirements, development of network templates and IP plans, development of test plans and documentation. Configuration and documentation of SDWAN solutions. See below for additional details.EXPERIENCE: Minimum of six (6) years of experience supporting the engineering of Information Technology systems for a DoD or Government Agency.ADDITIONAL REQUIRED POSITION-SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS3+ years of experience developing technical documentationProven track record of performance in client facing roles that require engagement and relationship building with stakeholders across Navy programs, the DoD, or other federal agenciesExperience with SDN/ SD-WAN Technologies and vendors including VMware, NSX-T, Cisco, Juniper, and open-source solutionsExperience with network configuration for L2/L3 switches, routers, security appliances (firewalls, NIDS, NIPS, etc)Experience developing and documenting network topologiesExperience in troubleshooting and restoring network and system outagesExperience in virtualization technologiesCCNP (or equivalent) certificationDESIRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience with RF communications, specifically MILSATCOM or COMSATCOM technologies.Experience leveraging NetDevOps or DevSecOps to scale enterprise level engineering projects.Experience with Network Automation in Python, Ansible, NETCONF, and/or RESTCONFExperience modeling network configuration in JSON, YAML, or JinjaExperience developing and maturing complex, collaborative networking projects and working autonomously to move network development forward
