Job Summary A growing financial institution is seeking an experienced Commercial Lender to drive business development and expand its commercial real estate (CRE) loan portfolio. This role is centered on originating, structuring, and managing commercial credit relationships while delivering tailored financing solutions to business clients and real estate investors. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated lender looking for a platform with attainable production goals and strong internal support.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesOriginate, structure, and close commercial real estate and commercial business loansDevelop and maintain a strong pipeline of new business opportunities through prospecting and networkingBuild and manage a portfolio of commercial clients, ensuring long-term relationship growthAnalyze financial statements, tax returns, and credit structures to assess risk and structure dealsCollaborate with credit and underwriting teams to move transactions efficiently through approval and closingMaintain ongoing portfolio management, including annual reviews, renewals, and risk monitoringEnsure compliance with all internal credit policies and regulatory requirementsRepresent the institution in the local market, attending networking events and building referral sourcesConsistently meet or exceed annual production goalsQualifications & RequirementsProven experience as a Commercial Lender within a banking environmentBilingual in both English and SpanishStrong focus and experience in commercial real estate (CRE) lendingDemonstrated ability to originate and close commercial loans and meet production targetsExperience managing a commercial loan portfolio, including credit analysis and relationship managementSolid understanding of financial statement analysis, cash flow, and credit structuringAbility to work within lending authority limits (up to approximately $6MM per deal)Strong business development and relationship-building skillsHigh level of professionalism, integrity, and work ethicExcellent communication and negotiation skills
