Sales Representative
Compensation: Market-base plus commission
Location: Remote
Supervises: No direct reports; may lead a team of peers during projects
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Serves as a key member of the sales and business development team to drive increased sales for continuous revenue growth, provide high quality multi-channel lead generation through direct and indirect contact, close sales and help our new and existing customers find the best DTS solution for their EDI needs.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Generate and close sales through full life cycle sales process, including documenting activities within CRM, and follow-up with a lead pipeline for closing sales
Assists with the designs and implementation of a high-quality sales program designed to penetrate new markets, strengthen existing client base, and build on the already strong DTS brand.
Works collaboratively with other sales and business development team members to target areas of potential market penetration.
Develops and delivers customized sales campaigns to target specific identified markets.
Provides telephone and web-based sales support to existing sales team, and performs effective online demos for prospective customers.
Supports the sales process with outreach activities to develop contacts and strengthen brand relationship.
Produces and distributes sales and related materials with approval.
Updates and maintains the company CRM and provides required sales activities metrics.
Contributes to organization success by responding to requests, helping others accomplish required results.
Responsible for other reasonable, related duties assigned.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
Employee determines appropriate work methods, plans, schedules, and prioritizes work based on goals and objectives to be achieved, within standards of work unit; carries out work activities independently, with minimal daily supervision. Consults with senior management to resolve problems or to provide general direction.
QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED:
Minimum 3 years sales experience
Successful experience closing full sales cycle as independent and team member.
Experience building client relationships via web-based, social media, telephone, and/or other media
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google docs, SalesForce and web based training/meeting platforms
Experience gathering and reporting metrics on sales efforts effectiveness and outcomes
Excellent writing and communication skills; strong organizational skills
Strong IT and ecommerce sales experience
Demonstrated ability to work well independently and in a team setting, manage several tasks at once, anticipate and identify problems, and suggest solutions in a timely manner
PREFERRED:
SaaS, EDI or ERP Sales experience is a plus
IT sales experience considered a plus
Minimum 2 year Associates Degree
Experience working with Salesforce.com or similar CRM
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Strong technical understanding of and competency in creating comprehensive sales plans, resource plans, sales cycle schedules, and other sales work products
Understanding of web-based sales approaches
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal, listening, and presentation skills
High standards of professionalism, integrity, and work ethics
Experience working collaboratively with offsite and onsite teams and skilled at managing resources assigned to multiple concurrent projects
Proven ability to work cross functionally and manage time and resources effectively
Understanding of internet based sales, traditional sales techniques and methodologies

Work duties have impact that affects company-wide revenues, services, support, and customers. Work often requires multiple interactions with customers (internal and external) over time. Individual efforts seen as representing and contributing to team results.
