Job SummaryThe Material Handler II is responsible for retrieving, receiving, storing, and delivering materials to support production and customer orders. This role ensures accurate inventory records, supports manufacturing operations through material availability, and assists with inventory accuracy by monitoring, investigating, and resolving shortages.Essential FunctionsRetrieve materials from the warehouse to fulfill work orders and customer orders, verifying correct quantities.Receive incoming goods, verify counts, and communicate discrepancies to planning as needed.Run and review work center detail reports and shipper sheet reports as scheduled.Accurately complete inventory transactions using computer systems or handheld devices.Store materials in designated warehouse locations following established procedures.Deliver and transfer materials to work centers and appropriate work stations.Print customer orders and pick materials to fulfill line items.Assist manufacturing teams in resolving material shortages and investigate root causes.Retrieve shortage materials from inventory and properly record transactions.Complete daily return-to-inventory transactions, including physical put-away.Maintain and transact adhesive inventory for customer and work orders.Prepare, count, and stage materials for outside processing, coordinating with Planning and Purchasing as required.Conduct scheduled physical inventory audits.Maintain a clean, organized stockroom environment in compliance with 6S standards.Transport materials between multiple locations as needed.Perform additional duties as assigned by the Inventory Supervisor or leadership team.Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) required.Minimum of three (3) years of experience in inventory control, warehousing, or a distribution center environment.Lean manufacturing training or experience preferred.QualificationsGeneral knowledge of inventory and warehouse management systems.Ability to read, write, and understand the English language.Proficiency with computers, including MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.Strong communication skills and attention to detail.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Physical DemandsThe physical demands listed below are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.
