Support Activities for Animal ProductionSpecialized Freight TruckingScheduled Air TransportationElementary and Secondary SchoolsResidential Intellectual and Developmental Disability, Mental Health, and Substance Abuse FacilitiesResponsibilities:Leads, directs, manages and enforces the accident prevention program and the laws that relate to safety on a construction project.Enforces safety program and related policies and procedures and implements immediate corrective actions in accordance with the Company, Federal, State and Local regulations and owner requirements.Mentors, coaches, provides feedback and evaluates performance of safety employees.Develops and facilitates training programs, and holds regular safety meetings with field crews, subcontractors, and professional staff.Participates in regulatory inspections and investigates near misses, injuries, accidents, and incident trends to assist in root cause analysis process, which ensures corrective measures are put in place to eliminate potential for recurrence.Communicates with corporate claims department to ensure proper documentation has been prepared and maintained on asset loss and workers compensation claims.Performs other duties as assigned.Requirements:Education: Bachelor’s Degree5+ years safety management experience in heavy civil construction requiredCertifications: Advanced safety certificate, CHST, ASP, CSP preferred
