Structural Engineer

DutiesWe are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join our Central New Jersey office - Princeton, NJ. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural design, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with steel fabricators and detailers to design steel connections; strong proficiency with the AISC Manual is requiredPerform site visits to survey existing structures and evaluate loading conditions for solar panel installationsDesign structures for applicable loads including dead, live, wind, and seismic in accordance with ASCE 7Develop structural models, apply loads, and analyze performance using software such as RAM Elements and RAM Structural SystemDesign structural components (steel, wood, masonry, cold-formed steel, and concrete) including beams, columns, and other elementsPrepare detailed structural calculation packages and supporting documentationCommunicate effectively with internal teams and clients via email, reports, and meetingsQualificationsMaster's degree in Structural Engineering 2–5 years of relevant experience in structural engineeringProfessional Engineer (PE) license preferred (or progress toward licensure)Strong knowledge of structural design principles, building codes, and standardsProficiency with industry software such as Outlook, Bluebeam, RAM Elements, Enercalc, and similar toolsExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently - fast/self learner and collaboratively within a team environmentHigh attention to detail with strong multitasking and prioritization abilitiesAdditional RequirementsValid driver’s license requiredWillingness to travel to job sites, including occasional overnight stays (approximately 25% travel)If you want, I can make this shorter (for LinkedIn/Indeed), more formal, or add salary/benefits to make it more competitive.
