Director of Business Development
This client-facing role aims at developing and growing the company’s business activities. The highly competitive logistics markets demand a deep understanding of very complex logistics solutions as well as an insightful knowledge of the competitive landscape of the covered territory.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for selling to new customers and meeting individual targets
Develop and grow a healthy pipeline of opportunities that align with company targets and objectives
Contributes to developing regional business development strategies and creates annual business development plans for specific countries to reach the required business objectives and revenue
In close cooperation with the Marketing department, nurtures the company’s visibility on the market (e.g. organizing events, webinars or conferences to be attended by prospective clients, writing specialized blogs, publish business cases or articles in specialized magazines…) to generate new business.
Present innovative sales solutions to prospective customers, positioning us as market leaders
Entertain and engage with new prospects and current clients, forging long-term, trust-based relationships
Craft strategies focused on revenue and profitability growth, ensuring customer satisfaction every step of the way
Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
Build long-term relationships with new customers
Arrange and lead meetings with prospective clients, showcasing the value of our services
Promote our comprehensive range of services, addressing and anticipating clients’ objectives
Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices etc
Embrace travel opportunities as needed to build and strengthen client relationships
Qualifications:
Typically, minimum a 4-year bachelor’s degree or equivalent through experience
Ideally 5-8 years in account management
Physical Requirements:
Work is primarily sedentary. Sits comfortably to do the work; however, there may be some walking, standing, bending, or lifting items weighing up to 15 pounds.
