We look forward to reviewing your resume.As an Industrial Electrician, you will contribute the team by performing skilled electrical work in the installation, maintenance, overhaul, repair, and testing of power generating and distribution equipment, rotating equipment, and their associated digital and analog controls.Your experience with the following items will drive your success in this role.Measuring, cutting, bending, threading, assembling, and installing electrical conduit, using such tools as band saw, pipe threaders, and conduit bendersPulling wiring through conduitSplicing wire by stripping insulation, from terminal leads with knife or wire strippers, twisting wires together, and applying tape or terminal capsConnecting wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment, using hand toolsInstalling distribution apparatus, such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels, fastening in place with screws or bolts, using hand tools and power toolsConnecting power cables to equipment, such as transformers, switchgear, and motors, and installs grounding leadsTesting continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components, using testing instruments, such as ohmmeter, voltmeter, and ammeterObserve functioning of installed equipment to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacementRepairing faulty equipmentFollowing safety rulesRequirementsMinimum of 2 years of industrial electrical experiencePrevious experience in water/wastewater preferredMust have experience bending/working with PVC coated rigid conduitMechanical aptitudeMotor controls experience preferredWilling to work in confined spacesWilling to work at heightsAble to work 10+ hour shifts / OTPhysical RequirementsWork requires exposure to construction site environments having temperature extremes, dust, fumes, smoke, hazardous substances, and loud noise levels. Up to 70% of the job may include heavy physical work, heavy lifting, pushing or pulling of material that may weigh from 50 to 100 pounds. The position requires the incumbent to climb and work from ladders, scaffolds or aerial lifts, stand or walk for long periods, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, squat, crawl and work in awkward positions or confined spaces for several hours at a time.The position requires the unrestricted use of hands, arms, shoulders and the upper and lower back as well as visual acuity and depth perception. Pulmonary capacity must be sufficient to permit the use of an air-purifying respirator if required.
