WelderThe position involves primarily MIG welding on steel and aluminum, with approximately 80% of work focused on aluminum. While TIG welding is present, the primary focus is on MIG. The work involves creating scales for various applications, including military contracts. The welding tasks require a decent appearance, though perfection is not necessary. Large parts may be involved, but hoists and tables are available to assist in handling them. Candidates will sometimes be required to grind their welds.ResponsibilitiesPerform MIG welding on steel and aluminum, with a focus on aluminum.Occasionally engage in TIG welding tasks.Create scales for various applications, including military contracts.Grind welds when necessary.Handle large parts using hoists and tables.Essential SkillsPrevious experience in MIG welding on aluminum.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols or willingness to learn.Minimum of 1 year of welding experience or relevant education/schooling.Additional Skills & Qualifications5 years of experience in stainless steel MIG and TIG welding.Experience with carbon steel and aluminum welding.Why Work Here?Enjoy working in a relaxed environment where management is not micro-managing. While steel-toed boots are recommended, they are not mandatory. Dress code is casual with jeans and a T-shirt, and the work might get a bit dirty. The shop provides a 30-minute lunch break and two 15-minute breaks during the day.
