If you are looking to make an impact, come and join our team.We are looking for a talented Program Quality Engineer to support day-to-day quality and product assurance execution for U.S. space hardware programs. This role will translate customer requirements, program plans, build activity, test results, nonconformances, and acceptance evidence into clear quality execution and customer-ready deliverables. The ideal candidate brings strong aerospace, defense, electronics, or high-reliability hardware quality experience, practical MRB/CAPA discipline, and the ability to work closely with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, program management, suppliers, and customers in a fast-moving environment.What you will be doingSupport quality and product assurance execution for assigned U.S. space hardware programs from development through build, test, acceptance, and delivery.Translate customer requirements, statements of work, command media, and internal procedures into program-level quality, inspection, build, and acceptance criteria.Develop, maintain, and execute program Quality Assurance Plans / Product Assurance Plans, inspection plans, mandatory inspection points, and customer quality deliverables.Support Manufacturing Readiness Reviews (MRRs), Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs), PDR/CDR quality inputs, customer reviews, audits, and program gate readiness activities.Lead or support nonconformance initiation, disposition, closure, and Material Review Board (MRB) activity, including coordination with engineering, program management, manufacturing, suppliers, and customers.Drive corrective and preventive action activity, including containment, root cause analysis, corrective action verification, and effectiveness checks.Prepare and review customer-facing quality records and acceptance packages, including End Item Data Packages (EIDPs), inspection records, certificates of compliance, deviation/waiver packages, and related objective evidence.Partner with Supplier Quality, Design Assurance, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Configuration Management, and Program Management to resolve quality issues that affect program execution.Support failure review, anomaly review, and acceptance-test issue resolution with clear documentation, disciplined follow-up, and customer-ready communication.Contribute to U.S. QMS development, AS9100 readiness, internal audits, procedure improvements, metrics, and practical process improvements as the site scales.RequirementsBachelor's degree in engineering, quality, manufacturing, or a related technical discipline; equivalent practical experience will also be considered.6+ years of quality engineering, program quality, product assurance, manufacturing quality, or related experience in aerospace, defense, space, electronics manufacturing, or another high-reliability hardware environment.Hands-on experience supporting hardware programs through development, manufacturing readiness, production, test readiness, acceptance testing, data-package delivery, and shipment.Working knowledge of AS9100 and aerospace/defense quality expectations, with familiarity in standards such as ECSS, NASA requirements, MIL-STD, IPC, J-STD, or comparable customer requirements.Experience with nonconformance management, MRB activity, corrective action, root cause analysis, and verification of corrective/preventive actions.Experience preparing or supporting Quality Assurance Plans / Product Assurance Plans, MIPs, MRRs, TRRs, EIDPs, certificates of compliance, customer deviations/waivers, and other program quality deliverables.Ability to interpret customer requirements and flow them into practical build, inspection, acceptance, and documentation requirements.Strong cross-functional communication skills with the ability to work effectively with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, suppliers, program management, and customers.Strong ownership, organization, and follow-through with the ability to manage multiple open actions, risks, and deliverables in a fast-moving program environment.AdvantagesDirect experience supporting space hardware, satellite electronics, defense electronics, or other mission-critical high-reliability programs.Experience working directly with major aerospace, defense, NASA, ESA, USSF, or commercial space customers on quality reviews, audits, FRBs, MRBs, acceptance activities, or data-package delivery.Experience supporting hardware built at Contract Electronics Manufacturers (CEMs), EMS providers, PCB suppliers, or other external manufacturing partners.Experience contributing to AS9100 certification, QMS build-out, internal audits, or process improvement at a growing site or program.Experience with ERP/PLM/QMS tools, electronic manufacturing records, nonconformance systems, corrective action systems, or data-package management tools.ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), internal auditor qualification, Six Sigma/Lean training, or comparable certification a plus.BenefitsCompetitive salary and benefits package.Benefits at Ramon.Space include medical, dental, vision, PTO, holidays, FSAs, 401(k) match, short term and long-term disability, and parental leave.Flexible hybrid working model with opportunities for remote work.
