OverviewAlliance Laundry Systems Distribution is a full-service commercial and industrial laundry equipment partner with over 110 years of industry experience. We offer comprehensive support services including installation, factory-trained service, genuine parts replacement, site selection, financing, and store design. We exclusively sell trusted brands - Speed Queen, UniMac, and Huebsch - known for durability and reliability.We serve a wide range of customers, including laundromat owners, Speed Queen franchise operators, and on-premises laundry managers, helping them maximize profits and reduce operating costs.The General Manager is responsible for driving top-line revenue, improving efficiency, and increasing profits while managing the overall operations of their assigned Direct Distribution location(s). The GM will oversee several elements in the business, including but not limited to people, operating budgets, and selling strategy (launching price promotions, product/profit mix, business segments, overall Go-To-Market Strategies, etc.).ResponsibilitiesDrive daily business operations through effective leadership of sales, service, and installation at the distribution location(s)Partner with the Commercial Regional GM to design and execute high-impact sales strategies that accelerate revenue growth and market penetrationOwn financial performance by managing budgets, analyzing P&L statements, and other financial reports to make data-driven decisions that maximize profitabilityChampion customer satisfaction by monitoring feedback, resolving escalations, and holding the team accountable to delivering a high-quality experience at every touchpoint with sales, installation, and serviceCollaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, improve operational workflows, and drive continuous improvement across the distribution location(s)Lead all people operations and talent development in partnership with Corporate HR, to create a team of high performers that contribute to the success of the collective distribution teamPartner with the NA Operations team to support efficient parts and warehouse functions at the distribution location(s)Ensure compliance with legal and safety requirements QualificationsEducation & Experience:Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be consideredAt least 6 years of work experience in leading teams, sales, and customer/account management with proven track record of successHands-on experience managing a P&L to track performance and drive accountabilityExperience and proven successful track record with sales forecast accuracyWorking knowledge of management software programs including QuickBooks and SAP strongly preferredProficiency leveraging Microsoft Office Suite for reporting and presentations Skills and Abilities: Sales and business acumen - demonstrates understanding of business models and key drivers quickly; delegates responsibilities while maintaining organizational control of daily operations and customer serviceStrong diplomacy skills - effectively handles conflict management and business negotiation processes; partners and forms strong working relationships fostering a problem-solving approachLeadership skills - demonstrates trust and respect for others, looks for ways to build positive relationships on the work team, communicates expectations and coaches/develops employees for successSolid organizational skills - ability to self-manage workload and multiple projects simultaneously while managing and meeting tight deadlines; ability to coach, manage and conduct training of diverse team members and their projectsExcellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills - communicates effectively and professionally across all levels of the organization and external stakeholders; Confidence in creating and delivering presentations to internal and external customersResilient - able to confidently navigate ambiguity and changeStrong work ethic - self-starter, demonstrating a proactive approach, self-initiative, and tenacityStandard and Physical Requirements: Position involves sitting for prolonged periods, standing, manual dexterity, stooping, and bendingPosition requires the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
