Afterschool Site Coordinator

Job Description Description: Join the Miami Children’s Museum team as an Afterschool Site Coordinator and lead a dynamic after-school program located at Liberty City Elementary . We’re looking for a strong, hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves working with youth, and knows how to bring structure, energy, and creativity to a program every single day.If you’re passionate about education, leadership, and creating safe, engaging spaces for students to grow - this is your moment!Essential FunctionsYou’ll be the go-to leader for the day-to-day operations of the after-school program, ensuring everything runs smoothly from dismissal to pickup.Oversee daily program operations including academics, enrichment, sports, and recreationLead, coach, and support instructors and teachers on-siteEnsure full compliance with program standards, including Florida Department of Children and Families and school requirementsBuild strong relationships with students, families, and school administrationMonitor attendance, engagement, and overall program successSupport behavior management using structured and positive approachesPlan and execute events, family engagement activities, and site initiativesManage administrative tasks including attendance tracking, reporting, inventory, and payroll review (Paylocity)Lead weekly staff meetings and support ongoing staff developmentOther duties as assignedRequirements: Director’s Credential or AA degree in Education or related field2+ years of experience developing educational programs2+ years of supervisory/leadership experienceStrong communication and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentPassion for youth development and community impactMust pass Level II background screening and drug testCPR/First Aid/AED certification (or willingness to obtain)At MCM, you’re not just running a program - you’re shaping experiences.
