Driving Simulator Instructor

Responsibilities of the position: Primary responsibilities Conduct driving simulator training sessions for clients with limited English proficiency to help them prepare for obtaining a U.S. driver’s license. Instruct clients on basic driving concepts, U.S. road signs, and driving safety rules through the simulator. Provide guidance and feedback to clients on improving driving skills. Monitor and document clients’ progress throughout the training process. Work with clients individually or in small groups to ensure personalized learning experiences. Secondary Responsibilities: Other duties as assigned. Participate in training and staff meetings as required. What you Bring: Required qualifications: Strong communication skills, particularly with non-native English speakers. Patience and adaptability in teaching individuals with diverse educational backgrounds. Ability to use technology, including driving simulators, and provide clear instructions. Empathy for clients from a wide range of cultural backgrounds. Commitment to client confidentiality Solid understanding of Missouri’s rules and regulations for operating motor vehicles. Preferred qualifications: Experience working cross-culturally Language skills in any of the following languages: Arabic, Dari, French, Haitian Creole, Pashto, Rohingya, Spanish, Swahili, Ukrainian, Urdu, Zaghawa Reports to: Driving Team Lead Compensation: This is a part-time W2 position. All appropriate Federal and State taxes will be withheld per IRS W-4 and MO W-4. The employer portion of SSI and Medicare taxes will be paid by RAISE. Pay: $20 per hour based on experience or matching of preferred qualifications Hours: 14-22 hours per week average Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM Friday 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM Weekend hours (up to 8 hours) to be scheduled based on client and instructor availability. Payment - monthly. No later than the 10th of the following month if the timesheet is submitted prior to that date. If the timesheet is submitted on or after the 10th, payment will be made on Friday for time sheets turned in by Wednesday. RAISE offers 12 paid holidays a year.
