The organization offers a collaborative environment with strong leadership visibility and long-term career growth.SummaryThe Allied Lines Underwriter will be responsible for independently managing new and renewal business across multiple commercial lines including Workers Compensation, Cyber/Regulatory, Financial Lines, CGL, and Umbrella. This role requires deep technical underwriting expertise, strong pricing and risk analysis capabilities, and a disciplined approach to regulatory compliance across jurisdictions. The ideal candidate will bring strong broker relationships, carrier-side underwriting experience, and the ability to make confident, well-supported underwriting decisions within established appetite and compliance boundaries.ResponsibilitiesManage new and renewal accounts for assigned agents and producers across multiple Allied Lines productsEvaluate and price risk using strong underwriting judgment, pricing strategy, and compliance with state filings and corporate guidelinesUnderwrite business across Workers Compensation, Cyber/Regulatory, Financial Lines (EPLI, D&O, Fiduciary), CGL, and Umbrella linesBuild and maintain strong agency and broker relationships in partnership with the Business Development teamMonitor portfolio performance, including loss ratios, trends, and underwriting results across regions and industry segmentsEnsure strict compliance with rating bureau rules, filings, and regulatory requirements across jurisdictionsIdentify opportunities to improve underwriting guidelines, appetite, and pricing strategies in collaboration with underwriting leadershipSupport strategic business planning and contribute to organizational initiatives and cross-functional projectsPartner effectively with operations, claims, compliance, and internal leadership to ensure strong underwriting execution and service deliveryMaintain strong documentation standards, classification accuracy, and policy administration disciplineRequirementsMinimum 7 years of underwriting experience with an insurance carrier requiredStrong experience underwriting one or more of the following lines: Workers Compensation, Cyber/Regulatory, Financial Lines, CGL, and UmbrellaEstablished retail broker and agency relationships within these lines of businessBachelor’s degree requiredStrong working knowledge of underwriting platforms, rating tools, policy administration systems, Salesforce, and ExcelProven ability to analyze risk, negotiate effectively, and make sound underwriting decisions independentlyStrong understanding of regulatory compliance, state filings, and underwriting within strict compliance boundariesExcellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across underwriting, business development, claims, compliance, and operationsStrong attention to detail with precision in rating, documentation, and classificationConfident decision-maker with strong escalation instincts, ownership mentality, and ability to support peer developmentPreferredExposure to compliance functions, internal audit processes, or statutory reporting requirementsExperience interpreting regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictionsStrong background collaborating cross-functionally with business development and claims teamsTRC Talent Solutions is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).
