Oncology Registered Nurse - Fenton, Missouri

Job Description Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years MS Oncology RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.A nursing opportunity is available in Fenton, MO, for a Registered Nurse with Med Surg experience to provide expert care on an oncology unit. This 13-week contract role offers night shift hours (7 PM 7:30 AM) with flexible guaranteed weekly hours of 36 or 48, supporting a 15-bed unit with a patient ratio of approximately 1:5 or 1:6.Key Responsibilities:Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluationAdminister medications and monitor patients for oncologic and medical needsCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient careMaintain patient confidentiality and uphold professional nursing standardsDocument thoroughly in the EPIC electronic medical record systemFloat as needed to other med/surg unitsQualifications:Current RN license eligible or licensed in MissouriMinimum 1 year inpatient Med Surg nursing experienceBLS certification from the American Heart AssociationPreferred: 1 year Oncology experience and ONS Chemo CertificationProficient with medication administration, physical assessment, and EMR documentationAbility to work as a reliable, flexible team playerUnit environment includes the use of Alaris pumps, NOVA glucometers, and remote telemetry devices. Scrub color for this unit is black.
