With a lean team and ambitious growth plans, they are now looking to bring HR in-house for the first time to support both operational stability and future expansion.The role:A newly created HR Manager/Director position with a broad remit across people operations, talent acquisition and HR infrastructure. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be setting up core HR processes while supporting a fast-moving operational team.Key responsibilities include:Lead end-to-end recruitment across operations and commercial rolesBuild and implement core HR processes, policies and documentation from scratchManage onboarding, offboarding and employee lifecycle processesOversee rotas, holiday tracking and workforce planningAct as the first point of contact for employee relations mattersEnsure compliance with US employment law, particularly around contractor (1099) vs employee structuresDevelop performance management frameworks and review processesSupport leadership (Howard and Steve) with organisational planning and hiring strategyIntroduce HR systems or tools to improve efficiency and reportingAdvise on compensation structures, commission models and contractor agreementsHelp shape company culture during a key growth phaseAbout you:Proven experience in a standalone or first HR hire roleComfortable building HR functions from the ground up without heavy infrastructureStrong understanding of US employment law, particularly 1099 contractor environmentsExperience supporting operational or fast-paced businesses (aviation, logistics, sales-led environments useful)Confident working directly with founders and senior leadershipHands-on, pragmatic and able to balance structure with flexibilityHappy operating on a 4 day in office week in West Palm Breach (one day from home)Whats on offer:An attractive salary package with plenty internal growth opportunity.Our thoughts:This is one of those roles where the brief looks loose because the business is evolving.
