Required Skills: Valid medical license in KentuckyBoard-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, or related fieldsProven experience in general medicine, with familiarity in compensation and pension assessments preferredStrong interview and assessment skillsAbility to complete exams efficiently within designated timeframesExcellent communication and documentation skillsNice to Have Skills: Prior experience with VA or federal medical assessmentsFamiliarity with physical assessment techniques such as range of motion and muscle strength testingAbility to operate independently with minimal supervisionPreferred Education and Experience: MD or DO degree from an accredited institutionActive KY medical licenseAt least 2 years of clinical practice or experience performing comparable assessmentsPrior experience with VA-related evaluations is advantageousOther Requirements: Own a private, fully equipped office within a 50-mile radius of Paducah, KYWillingness to work on a PRN basis with flexible hours, including half-day or full-day shiftsAbility to complete exams and administrative follow-up, including report submissions and addendumsNo travel or certification reimbursements are provided before onboardingStarting August/September 2023This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our nation's veteran community with competitive pay of $624 per hour.
