Casino PorterThe Casino Porter is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order of the Casino. Essential duties and responsibilities include: Clean and polish lighting fixtures, solid surfaces and trim. Clean hallways, lobbies, lounges, corridors, stairways and other work areas. Sweep, vacuum and mop floors. Shampoo carpets and spot clean chairs. Clean restrooms and replenish supplies. Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, door panels and sills. Empty waste baskets and ash trays. Transport trash and waste to disposal area. Replenish bathroom supplies and replace light bulbs. Assist in promotion and events set up and tear down. Clear snow and ice in inclement weather conditions. Meet attendance guidelines by reporting to work as scheduled with dependability and consistency. Promote and encourage positive customer relations. Represent the company in a positive manner. Maintain professional dress standards and personal appearance as dictated by the policy manual. Other duties may be assigned. This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or experience: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. Language skills: Read, write, speak and understand English. Read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Mathematical skills: Basic math skills are required. Computer skills: None required for this position. Reasoning ability: Organizational, interpersonal relation skills and a team-oriented attitude are required. Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Certificates, licenses, registrations: Class II Gaming License issued from the Skokomish Tribal Gaming Commission, and a valid Washington State Drivers License. Working conditions: Work at various heights and be able to access any reasonable portion of the property. Stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms. Lift 20-50 lbs. The employee is occasionally exposed to slippery floors. Work may be performed in outside weather conditions, including rain, cold and heat. Possible exposure to chemicals and/or elements present in cleaners, agents, pesticides or other hazardous chemicals. Typical of that in a busy casino with heavy cigarette smoke accompanied with a variety of competing noises and communications. Flexible hours (weekends, nights, holidays).
