Student Success Advisor
Summary
Missouri Baptist University is seeking to hire a full-time Student Success Advisor. Under the supervision of the Director of Student Success, the Student Success Advisor is responsible for serving as an initial point of academic and personal support students enrolled at Missouri Baptist University. The Advisor will provide services according to the Wellness Wheel, including study skills, time management, life skills, major choice, career choice, class scheduling, personal concerns, and campus life opportunities.
Essential Responsibilities
Advise students on academic processes and procedures including scheduling classes, academic plans, and program requirements.
Act as a liaison for students assisting them with all processes involving Wellness Wheel affecting student success.
Assess students' complex needs and make appropriate referrals.
Accurately maintain, document, and track all student interactions through Spartan Connect and use data to proactively assist students.
Provide resiliency coaching and skills training and evaluating student success.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in education, business, social work, psychology, counseling, or related field and 1 years of related experience.
Preferred Education/Experience
Master's degree in education, social work, counseling, higher education, psychology or related field. Two years related professional experience with prior training in special needs coordination preferred.
