This role is responsible for workflow optimization, regulatory readiness, staff leadership, and quality outcomes across histology, cytology, and IHC services.This is a hands‑on leadership role ideal for professionals with a strong technical AP background who also excel in people management, compliance, and process improvement. Key ResponsibilitiesOversee daily operations for Anatomic Pathology services (Histology, Cytology, IHC as applicable)Lead and develop technical and supervisory staff; manage scheduling, competencies, and performance reviewsEnsure continuous readiness for CAP, NYSDOH, CLIA, and Joint Commission inspectionsManage QA/QC programs, workflow metrics, TAT, and productivity benchmarksCollaborate with Pathologists, Directors, and hospital leadership to support clinical and operational goalsSupport validation of new tests, equipment, procedures, and automation initiativesParticipate in budgeting, inventory management, and capital planningDrive process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and staff engagementRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Biology, or related scienceASCP certification (HTL, CT, MT/MLS, or PA) preferredActive New York State laboratory license (as applicable)Minimum 5+ years of Anatomic Pathology experience, with leadership or supervisory responsibilitiesStrong knowledge of histology workflow, IHC, and regulatory compliancePreferred ExperiencePrior experience managing hospital-based AP laboratoriesDemonstrated success leading teams through inspections and performance improvement initiativesExperience with laboratory information systems (CoPath, Cerner, Epic, or similar)Why This OpportunityStable direct‑hire leadership roleDay shift, weekday scheduleSupportive Pathology and hospital leadershipOpportunity to make a visible operational impact in a respected AP departmentCompetitive compensation and full benefits package Apply today to explore this leadership opportunity and learn more about the scope, team, and growth potential.About Medical Solutions Direct HireAt Medical Solutions, we're people who care, helping people who care.
