In this role, you will provide technical leadership, oversee project execution, mentor engineering staff, and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver high-quality products that meet customer and business requirements.This position blends hands-on engineering, project leadership, and people management, making it ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys developing otherRequirementsWhat You’ll DoServe as Lead Engineer on assigned projects, assigning and coordinating work for engineers, designers, and draftersPlan, direct, and oversee engineering activities throughout the project lifecycleReview specifications, conduct design reviews, and support pre-production builds and transfers to manufacturingEnsure engineering deliverables meet company quality standards and customer expectationsAct as Quality Control reviewer for team deliverables and participate in QC meetingsDevelop career development and skills training plans for team members and provide onboarding feedbackPerform supervisory responsibilities, including approving time off, expense reports, and timesheetsSupport project planning activities, including scope, schedules, risk assessments, and budgetsCollaborate with internal teams to leverage lessons learned from similar projectsProvide technical guidance and serve as a liaison to other departments as neededPrepare technical briefings and assist senior leadership with problem resolutionSupport Sales and Marketing with technical input for bids and proposalsParticipate in strategic initiatives and development of engineering standardsCommunicate budget or schedule impacts to the Project ManagerPerform other duties as assignedWhat You BringRequired QualificationsBachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent work experienceMinimum 4+ years of electrical design experience, including analog, digital, and/or high-voltage systemsAt least 4 years of experience designing and analyzing electrical/electronic systemsStrong understanding of manufacturing workflows and production supportAbility to read and interpret electrical schematicsProficiency with AutoCAD and other computer-aided engineering toolsWorking knowledge of MS Office and Adobe AcrobatAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentPreferred QualificationsRegistered Professional Engineer (PE)Experience mentoring or supervising engineering staffSkills & CompetenciesStrong technical judgment and problem-solving skillsAbility to adapt standards, techniques, and procedures to meet project needsExcellent communication and collaboration skillsCommitment to quality, documentation, and continuous improvementAbility to manage multiple priorities within established budgets and schedulesAt Tesco Controls, our culture is grounded in the idea that the how we achieve results is just as important as the results themselves. We may pay more or less than the range based on the person’s qualifications. In good faith we believe the range is what we will pay for this role at the time of the posting and may change in the future.
